Variable contents for the 'Deck Tanks' can be established as follows:

1. In the Deck Liquid Loads dialog, click on the button in the top right corner labeled 'Consumption'. This will cause the center of gravity and moment fields to be removed, and replaced by consumption fields as shown overleaf.
   
   

2. A rate can be defined in ltons/hour. The value can be positive or negative (i.e. filling or emptying).

3. Alongside the rate field, a label is shown, being either 'Fixed' or 'Variable'. When the label shows Fixed, the tank contents is fixed at its current value. However, click on the label, and it will change to 'Variable'. This then allows the tank contents to be modified at each time step at a rate consistent with the defined Rate. The upper limit is the maximum capacity of the tank. The lower limit is zero.
